Privacy notice
launchcheck is run by TeQ Mavens and Machine With Brain (“we”), based in India. This notice is written to be read, not skimmed past. It follows India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP) and applies to launchcheck.me and launchcheck-v2.vercel.app.
- Delete everything: your account page — one step, server-side, immediate.
- Ask a question or exercise a right: privacy@launchcheck.me.
- The short version: we store what you type and what we fetch for you, to run the product; we never sell it or use it for advertising.
What we store, and why
- Your venture. The idea you describe, the problem, your target customer, geography, stage, the competitors you name, and any extra context you type. Purpose: to run the scan and the report for you and keep them when you come back.
- Your scans and reads. The live findings we fetch about your market or your business (competitors, demand quotes, your public listing and reviews, funding rounds), the personas built from them, your practice interviews and debriefs, your answers to our questions, and the score history. Purpose: the product itself — your evidence file.
- Your account. Your email address (for the sign-in link) and the time you agreed to this notice. We do not store passwords; sign-in is by email link or, when switched on, Google.
- Usage events. Which screens were viewed and which steps completed, tied to an anonymous device id and, once you sign in, your account. Purpose: to see where founders get stuck and to enforce fair daily limits.
- Cost records. Every call we make to a paid provider on your behalf (search, maps, the AI model) with its token counts and cost. Purpose: honest accounting. After you delete your account these rows keep no identifier.
- Consult requests. If you ask to talk to our teams, the email and brief you submit go to TeQ Mavens or Machine With Brain to start that conversation.
Where it goes
Your data lives in Supabase (hosted in Mumbai, India) and is served by Vercel. To produce your findings we send the text you type — never your email — to Brave Search, Google Maps Platform, Google PageSpeed and Anthropic’s Claude models. Each processes it to return a result; we do not sell or share your data for advertising, and we do not build profiles of you across other sites.
Scans of real businesses
The business door reads only what the outside world can already see: a public website, a public Google listing and its public reviews, public competitor listings. We store that read as your venture record so you can come back to it. If a scan concerns a business you do not run, do not continue past the first finding; we never claim a listing for you without your confirmation.
How long
While your account exists. Anonymous ventures that never sign in stay on your device only (your browser’s storage) and in our registration table for up to 12 months before deletion. Cost and aggregate usage records are kept for accounting, without identifiers after deletion.
Your rights, and deletion
Under the DPDP Act you may access, correct and erase your personal data, withdraw consent, and nominate someone to act for you. Deletion is self-serve: open your account page and choose “Delete my account and everything in it”. It removes, server-side and immediately, every venture you own with its scans, findings, personas, interviews, evidence and score history, your activity events, your problem-board votes and claims, and your sign-in identity. For anything else, email privacy@launchcheck.me. If you are unsatisfied with our response you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
launchcheck is for founders and business owners. We do not knowingly process data of anyone under 18.
Changes
When this notice changes materially we will ask you to agree again at your next sign-in. The version you agreed to is recorded on your account.
